Here at Jersey Shore Calvary Chapel (JSCC), we do so much more than just perform Sunday services. As a faith community in Point Pleasant, NJ, our members are engaged in a wide variety of activities, both within the church and serving out in the community. There are many opportunities for our members to get involved in working together to grow in faith. We have small groups, youth group services, and a variety of biblical study groups.
We also organize many opportunities for our members to volunteer and work with our community outreach programs. We are always open to new ideas and projects that will help us serve the community, so feel free to offer suggestions.
If you are new and considering visiting our church, we want to extend a heartfelt welcome to you and your family. We aspire to be a church where everyone will feel welcome, and we want to invite you to give us a try.

JSCC Point Pleasant Beach
In December 2006, Jersey Shore Calvary Chapel began as a group of eight people crowded into Pastor John and his wife Christina’s living room in a small cape cod in Point Pleasant Beach. Within a month and a half, they outgrew the space and had to move to a small dance school on Arnold Avenue. Just a few months later, with 50 people attending service each week, the church had to find a new home again. Point Pleasant's Memorial Middle School served as a temporary space for a time, as did Antrim Elementary.
But God had bigger plans for the expanding church. In 2013, a series of conversations led Pastor John to the First Baptist Church on McLean Avenue. First Baptist had a beautiful building but a declining congregation. JSCC had an abundance of people but little space. By June, First Baptist had graciously agreed that this historic 125-year old church should be Jersey Shore Calvary Chapel's new home.
JSCC Berkeley Township
In 2019, Pastor John was asked by Keith Daly, the founding pastor of Calvary Chapel of Berkeley Township, to provide pastoral and administrative support for the CC Berkeley church family, as he had decided to retire. Pastor Tom Jencsik from Point Pleasant Beach had already moved to Berkeley Township a year earlier and had been praying about planting a church in the area. When the opportunity arose to support the Berkeley location Pastor Tom transitioned into the role and is now the Pastor of the JSCC Berkeley Township.
"God is moving here.
God is working here, and he has a mission for His church"
"Come see for yourself. Come worship here and hear God's Word directly from scripture as it pertains to your everyday life, and connect with others that are seeking to know the Lord intimately. If you're reading this and you're being prompted
to visit, come say, 'Hello.'
...it's people just like you."
